General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for asking at HCM.
I carefully read your question and understand your concern.
If you have recurrent acid problems you might need to do a gastroscopy. This is a test that puts a camera into your stomach through a tube that goes through your mouth to the stomach and checks for lesions. Peptic ulcer is a common cause of recurrent stomach symptoms.
Another important test is urea breath test to see if you have H.Pylori infection which is a common cause of peptic ulcer disease and stomach symptoms.
According to the results, you will need to have the treatment.
It is advisable to have frequent small amount of meals, avoid caffeine, alcohol and smoking, avoid greasy food and spicy ones.
Antiacids might help relieve symptoms at the moment and PPI medications like omeprazole are very helpful with the symptoms.
If you have H. Pylori infection than you will need the so called tripple therapy: 2 antibiotics and omeprazole for 2 weeks.
Hope this is helpful and answers to your question.
I find this answer helpful
