Suggest Treatment For Rectal Pain And Constipation

I have rectal pain - when sitting for long periods of time and when moving my bowels. My doctor told me to take Colace to soften the stools. I believe he told me that sometimes this happens in older patients (I am 65 years old). He also told me to take warm baths with Epsom salt, which does help. Is there anything else I can do? Exercises?j

Dear- Rectal pain can be from multiples causes, including hemorrhoid, chronic constipation and fissures. You can try colace to help to soft the stool and eliminate the constipation. Exercise like walking will help to move your intestines. Drinking a lot of water also helps that.
I hope my advise will be helpful
