Suggest Treatment For Really Bad Teeth With Braces

Hi im jessica. I really need your help i am 20 and i have really bad shaped teeth. I WAS supposed to have braces when i was twelve. But the dentist refused and said i couldnt. And just before my 18th i was refered and i went to the orthodontist, and the orthodontist refused. I really need help in what to do. My teeth have caused me to be so self concious. It puts me off getting a job, speaking to my childs teacher. I feel totally embaressed. Could you please help me, and tell me how i could get them sorted?

Thanks for the query..

As per your complain orthodontic treatment can be carried out it the teeth are not properly aligned in the jaws or are rotated or located in proper position in the arch.

But in case if your teeth have defected shape which can be due to any developmental disorder then orthodontic treatment cannot be helpful as orthodontic treatment can correct the mal-positioned teeth but change in shape of teeth is not possible by it.

Other thing is that you have not mentioned that what reason is given by the orthodontist for refusing for treatment..

If the reason for bad appearance of teeth is defective shape you should consult an Aesthetic dentist who can either do some capping or tooth coloured filling,laminates, veneers etc which are all different treatment aspects to correct shapes of teeth but everything depends on clinical examination in which dentist will find out the exact cause and requirement for correction of your teeth and treat them accordingly..
