General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to cellulitis which is a bacterial skin infection. I recommend to clean the area with an antibacterial soap. I also suggest using an antibiotic cream such as Neosporin cream for local application. If the symptoms continue, you may need oral antibiotics.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
