I have to take prednisone for five weeks. I am in week three, The dose for the first two weeks was 60 mg per day, every day. The dose for last week and this week is 40 mg per day, every day. The dose for the fifth and final week will be 20 mg per day.



I have developed a rash in the last few days on the side of and under my breast. It is easily irritated by my bra and a little red. It just flared up overnight, as I didn't have it yesterday. What topical over the counter ointment can I safely use on this, since I will be taking the prednisone for 2 more weeks? Can I use a hydrocortisone gel? I am taking it to for radialogical inflammation (my treatment was finished months ago) .
