Suggest Treatment For Rash On The Chest And Shoulder In A Child

Hi, a couple weeks ago my 9 yr old son had this red small bumpy rash on his chest and shoulder, didn t itch and went away after a couple days. Last night it appeared again on his chest but also on his groin area and stomach. Was a bit itchy last night. His arms feel bumpy tonight too. No fever doesn t really itch either.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear,

This problem is very common in children of this age. Causes may be different. It may be due to specific food allergy, unhygienic sleeping environment, unhygienic clothes (not properly washed or kept) and rarely due to some parasitic infection.

As you told there is no itching, it is less likely to have food allergy or parasitic infection. so use calamine lotion if required and do wait and watch few days. If symptoms continues, send photos of the same.
