Suggest Treatment For Raised Black Spot On Skin

Hi, I have been checking my self for changes in skin on my moles due to the warm weather. I noticed that it has black spots in the middle of it. It is raised above the skin and is about 0.5 cm in width I was wondering what this could be normal? Or serious? I can send a photo for more help! Many thanks, Lewis

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to acute respiratory tract infection likely of lower airways or lungs, as in pneumonia. He should be reviewed by a paediatrician and chest X-ray, complete blood count and CRP quantitative should be done. The baby may need neubilizations as well as antibiotics which may be intravenous injectables.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
