Suggest Treatment For Pus Formation At Wound Site
My dad has had went for amputated his 2 toes due to diabetic and his feet is recovering but according to the nurse, his wound has closed but there will be some hardened pus inside the closing wound. Is there anyway to make the pus dissolved by itself or is there any other ways apart from opening the almost heal wound. Please advise, doctor. Msg from Stephanie

It could be an indwelling abscess.
Consult a general surgeon and get evaluated.
Thorough wound examination and pus culture are required.
Nothing much to worry and you will improve with proper wound care and antibiotics.
