Suggest Treatment For Purplish And Swollen Toe After Injury
I stubbed my toe 4 days ago at first it wasn t sore I continued to athletics but the next day it increased in severity turning purply black I taped two toes together and carried on but now the discolouration has gone there s a tiny cut and moderate swelling what have I done
I think you may sustained hairline fracture of the toe and that has causing you swelling and pain. Dis coloration is due to accumulation of the blood and it get absorbed so color is not there, I would still recommend you to get x ray of the foot to check if there is any pressure. Avoid any water contact with little cut which you had. Apply a antiseptic ointment like Mupirocin. Keep foot elevated over pillow when you are taking rest to make sure that it causes decrease in swelling.
