Hello, My dad is a 76-year-old man who has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The cancer has traveled to his lymph nodes and our doctors are about to begin treating him with Lupron depot. The doctor said that in most cases of prostate cancer for men his age treatment is not a given, but since his is aggressive they need to begin therapy. My dad asked me to print out information about Lupron depot for him to read, and I m not sure exactly what the best source would be to provide him with a layman s explanation of what it is and what he can expect.
