Suggest Treatment For Pityriasis Versicolor

I have a bad condition of Pityriasis versicolor. Advised by Doctor to apply Nizoral gel to the affected area however after a week or so s worth of treatment, the condition hasn t improved. Is there anything else you can advise as I have finished the bottle of Nizoral now.

Hi,

Don't worry, I can give good treatment for this. Just follow. Before half an hour bath, apply Ketoconazole shampoo lotion on the affected part

After a hot bath with Ketoconazole soap, apply Clotrimazole gel-like DK GEL (H&H pharma) on spots and dusted with ketoconazole powder.

Cap Itraconazole 200 mg daily one tab for 7 days. Tab Fluconazole 400 mg stat (once) after 3rd day, use above Itraconazole for 7 days.

Always use dusting powder after each application and keep as dry as in affected areas.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Puvvula Kishore Kumar, Dermatologist
