Suggest Treatment For Pituitary Tumor While Taking Thyroid Medication

I am trying to find a Dr that is competent and experienced in treating Pituitary tumor/hypothyroidism/hormone related problems in Columbia SC. I have been on thyroid medicine for the last 2 yrs. It doesn t seem to be working. Still don t have an answer for my symptoms and not on any meds for the pituitary tumor to shrink it. Do you have any reccomendations? I have been to several Dr s already and am getting no where besides running up bills on blood work. Thank You Elizabeth Smith

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello Elizabeth
Welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.

* Usually the pitutary tumors in form of microadenoma ( which is most
common ) require a transnasal ablation micro surgery and medicines
do not respond to the same.

Kindly discuss the same with your treating doc and get further guidelines.

Thank you.
Regards.
