Suggest Treatment For Pimples

My boyfriend is 26 and i'm 23......He tired the tranquility bath salt cause he heard abt it from a friend. He went from only trying it to using it. For a month or two now he has been off and on using the bath salt. I havent seen him alot because when I go to bed he stays up...... so this past weekend I stupidly said I would do it with him so we could be together....well, what I can say is that stuff is scary! He had been up from friday to Monday. I did it Saturday and finally slept Monday morning. The strange thing abt my boyfriend is he was broke out with pimples and kept saying people were outside walking around. I thought he was doing some other drug cause I didn't act like that at all. He swears he doesn't have a problem.... he was in the bedroom with the light out looking out the windows and when he came out it smelled like he was trying to smoke the salts...like burning smell.... he is hearing things feeling stuff on his skin and i'm worried because I have heard of the people killing theirselves and he has a gun at the apartment. I no. Longer stay there because of his problem. What can I do to help him??

Thank you for your question!
I read it carefully and you have the right to be that worried. Usually this tranquility baths contain some substances as methylenedioxypyrovalerone, which is a quasi-legal stimulant, also norepinephrine/dopamine.
High doses of these substances can cause anxiety, prolonged use of them sometimes may cause depression and brain damage.
Please take this in consideration, tell him not to use it again, try some walks instead and going out together.
If these doesn`t help you can talk to your physician to give him an antidepressant agent. I usually prescribe my patients 4 grams a day of L-Tryptophan for anxiety.
About the treatment of the pimples you say, here is a skin regimen:
Wash twice a day with Cetaphil Derma Control
Benzoyl Peroxide gel 5% at bedtime. Be aware of it as it is a bleaching agent of clothes and hair. To avoid irritation at the beginning tell him to use it every other day, for the first week and than every day at bedtime. Do not use it if he is allergic to any active ingredient of it.
Cetaphil Dermacontrol moisturiser SPF 20 in the morning.
Take care of yourself! I hope you can fix the situation.
Wishing both of you good health! Feel free to contact me again!
