Suggest Treatment For Pigmentation Loss

Hi, my name is Malinda and I was wondering if pigment could be replaced by injection. When I was a child I got into some old rain water and contracted Impetigo and from what I understand that disease made me lose my pigment. I m tired of getting sun burnt and not being able to get tan.

Hi,

It seems you are probably having post inflammatory hypopigmentaion. Any injury to skin at times cause loss of melanin resulting in white spots. Sometimes, such conditions can progress in to vitiligo. A long term treatment in the form of creams, tablets along with, sun exposure or ultra violet rays can be helpful for pigment gain. Now a days, there is laser called excimer laser and surgical facilities of grafting are also available for early results. A regular visit to a dermatologist will b helpful.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
