Suggest Treatment For Persistent Nausea And Vertigo

I was out of the country for three weeks and ate a kabob in a restaurant, the night of the kabob I had diarrhea and took imodium which stopped the diarrhea but after that my taste changed. I use to like fish but not any more. When I got back to the USA i saw my doctor, my stool was infected with the H pillori bacteria per stool test done and was put on both amoxicillin and flagyl for 14 days. the nausea subsided for about a month and half but now I have started experiencing same symptoms of nausea and vertigo. I don t know what is going on with me.

Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

Sorry for your trouble. You probably are feeling nauseous because of the gastroenteritis due to H. pylori hat you had after consuming food that is contaminated. Post infectious malaise is pretty much likely the cause of your nausea and vertigo. Also, intestinal worms should be investigated as they could also be responsible for these symptoms.
I suggest you get a consult with a gastroenterologist.

Hope this helps
