General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

This is called Tinnitus and has many other reasons like hypertension, vascular loops around the nerved from the ear to the brain, acoustic trauma to the inner ear and so on.

MRI has only excluded a few causes. Some hearing aids do help to mask the buzzing. Occasionally stress or anxiety can cause or increase the problem.

Get a second opinion of another ENT Surgeon or visit a Neuro-otology centre to get a proper diagnosis and a proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
