Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

Throat pain, change in voice like horse voice and persistent dry cough symptoms are likely due to inflammation of throat which in turn could be because of upper respiratory infection (pharyngitis, laryngitis or epiglotitis most probably).

Majority of cases throat pain are due to viral infection, but in some cases it could also be related to bacterial infection (like streptococcal pharyngitis).

You are likely to be having viral throat infection with cold due to probably change in whether in Assam.

However, you should take below mentioned symptomatic treatment to get some relief.

1) Take pain killers with anti-inflammatory combination (like combiflam tablets) twice or thrice daily (but not more than 4 tablets per day) for throat pain which are available over the counter.

They will also help to reduce further inflammation in throat and thereby will help to subside symptoms quickly.

2) Antihistamines like levo-cetrizine 10 mg (brand name L-Dio 1) twice daily for dry cough along with montekulast 5 mg combination..

3) Steam inhalation with warm salt water gargles which will certainly help for symptomatic relief in horse voice.

4) Take anti-anxiety medications like tablet recita forte for adequate sleep but you will require prescription from some doctor.

5) Antibiotics will not require here unless there is bacterial infection diagnosed by the blood counts but very unlikely in your case.

If problem persists then see some local doctor or ENT specialist for further examination and treatment.

Hope this will help you.

Thanks and Regards,
