Suggest Treatment For Persistent Dry Cough, Itchy Throat And Pressue In Ears
I have a persistent dry cough, with only minimal phlegm, in the mornings. My ears sometimes feel pressure and my throat is scratchy. I do not have a head cold. I am tired more than usual. This has been going on about a week now and not improving. what do you suggest? I have been taking Tylenol and Sudafed with Nyquil at night.
Hello As you stated that there is dry cough , sore throat and pressure in the ear . These symptoms may be due to some allergy associated with infection . Dry cough is a characteristic feature of bronchoconstriction . When such patient visit I advise to take montelukast + fexofenadine , once in the night . Salbutamol syrup . Levofloxacin 10 mg / kg once in day for 5 days . Hot saline gargles . Since this is a prescription medicines , so for this consult your treating physician and take a prescription. Hot coffee and steam inhalation also provide instant relief. Good luck. Tylenol sudafed and nyquil are good drugs but not working in your case , because ,you are taking for a week.
