Suggest Treatment For Persistent Diarrhea

I have been having loose uncontrollable stools (usually small amounts) for approximately 4 weeks. I have no history of intestinal disease. I recently had a CT scan which was negative and labs that were negative. I am taking a probiotic and amoxicillin just in case of infx. What else can I do?

Hi..
Welcome to HCM..
Sir i understood your problems. I suggest you to mention your age and blood sugar level. Sometimes, diabetic can have persistent diarrhea. You can continue with probiotic but not amoxicillin. I suggest you to get done stool microscopy examination and depending upon the report you can start antimicrobial agents. Loperamide or rececadotril can help to reduce frequency of loose stools.

Thank you
