Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough, Tightness In The Chest And Wheezing

I had a sinus infection several weeks ago and took levaquin for seven days, it did not help, now I m experiencing a persistent cough, tightness in my chest, wheezing and shortness of breath. I do not have a fever, body aches, or any other symptoms. Just congestion, both nasal and chest, though the nasal congestion has improved some. The wheezing and cough do improve with an albuterol nebulizer for short periods of time but only lasts a few hours. I do not want to take another antibiotic as the first one, 500 mg of levaquin for seven days, did not help at all. What should I do? And how long will this last?

hi....it could be bronchial asthma....because you are having sinus infection and usually it could be type one hypersensitivity reaction...we call it allergy...so usually it causes bronchial asthma...bronchial asthma presents as chronic cough, tightness of chest and shortness of breath...usually in asthma cough varies with times(morning night variation)..you better go with subutamol and beclomethason inhaler...that would relive the symptoms...go with these drugs along doctors prescription...Thank you
