Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cold And Sinus Infection

Hi. About a month ago I came down with a horrible cold, sinus infection. I was down for about a week. The last few years I have been prone to springtime allergies, too. Lately, I can't seem to breathe freely. My sinuses are still not back to normal from being sick and I have constant mucous drainage down my throat making it hard for me to breathe. I'm not sure what to do.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi i do care for your concern.
recurrent sinus infection and suffering with cold often.
If i were your treating doctor then i would advise
To start on antibiotic such as augmentin for a period of one week along with antacid
to avoid cold environment, have warm water for drinking.
avoid dust prone regions.
also consult with your doctor about monthly medications i.e montelukast for allergy.
Hope i have answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask.
Thank you
