Suggest Treatment For Persistent Anxiety While On Paxil
Yes, I was on Paxil (the generic for about 20 years. My Dr. told me that it doesn t work much after 5 or 6 years and recommended that I wean my self off of it over a period of a year which I did. Now that I ve been totally off of it for about two months, it seems like the anxiety is returning - not full-blown panic attacks yet but I m concerned that may happen. Can people go back on it successfully?
You can get back on paxil successfully. The recommended starting dose of Paxil is 20mg. Discuss with your doctor regarding any other medications you are taking before starting Paxil, since paxil can interact with some medications. Please follow up with your doctor regarding return of your anxiety symptoms and see if restarting Paxil is right for you.
Hope I was able to answer your question Please address any more concerns Regards, Dr.Lekshmi
