Suggest Treatment For Peripheral Vision Loss In The Right Eye

Hi, My 17 year old son complained about a sudden loss of his peripheral vision in his right eye. About an hour later he said his right arm and right side of his lips were numb. This progressed to a headache on the left side that was exacerbated with positional changes in head movement. He had been at the gym just before the vision loss. My thought is a possible TIA.

Hello,

It's a big emergency. We cannot diagnose, treat, or make definite statements about people we havent' seen and:

They add up to a definite neurological pattern not imagination or psychological. Structures inside the head--tumor, blood, mass, infection--typically cause positional effects of pain. So, blood clot, mass, infection are some possibilities.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman
