Suggest Treatment For Peripheral Neuropathy In Legs And Feet
I have peripheral neuropathy in my legs/feet and hands. This started about 5 years ago. I was diagnosed diabetic 1000 mg metformin twice a day. I was on Gabapentin 300 mg once a day...with no relief. I have a new doctor who wants to wait 3 months before putting me on anything, until she can check my A1C s again, 8.3 as of yesterday, when she doubled my metformin. This pain is incredible, my toes curl involuntarily and when I lay down (couch or bed) I m constantly shaking my leg. I need some advice on a prescription for the pain.
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that you are suffering from peripheral neuropathy from diabetes. Mecobalamin may be of help. For pain analgesic such as ibuprofen can be of use. You should control your diabetes. If not controlled by oral hypoglycemic agents then insulin may be started. You can discuss your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
