Suggest Treatment For Peeled Off Skin On Thumb

Okay so basically I was outside cutting up branches with my machete and eat time I d hit the branch my thumb would slide on the handle a little bit and the top layer of skin detached and shifted it pushed it back into place and later it peeled off, What s your advice for the wound doc?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....

As per your complain it seems that you have got peeling away of the top layer of skin secondary to injury but you need not to worry as gradually the healing will proceed the skin layer will form..
You should start cleaning the area of injury with an antiseptic solution and apply an antibiotic and steroid ointment over it to prevent infection and help in healing faster..
You should also take a short course of antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin and take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
Limit water exposure to the injury site..
