Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been waxing for 15 years, no problems. Now I m pregnant and I ve noticed ingrown hairs on my bikini line. I felt a pea like bump under my skin and squeezed. Alot of stringy like/waxy puss came out. It turned a dark purple because it was so sensitive. I waited two weeks, and it came back after the color purple went away. This time I had my husband squeeze it more gentle like...same puss came out. I feel like it s a deep ingrown hair, but we can t see anything. The pain is deep. And I still feel a bump under the skin. I m so pregnant...I can barely see it now. And there isn t much a dr can do until after I deliver in February I m sure. I tried putting hot washcloths on the area, didn t look and different. I also tried swabbing peroxide on it after we ve messed with it.
Hi, It seems that there might be having superficial skin infection due toingrown hair follicle infection producing bumps and pus discharge. You can not continue like this during pregnancy. The lesion should be treated properly. Consult your doctor and get examined and go for regular dressing done by your doctor. A course of antibiotic medicine should require to cure this problem. Keep local hygiene clean and dry. Ok and take care.
