Suggest Treatment For Parkinson S Disease

Hi, my mother is suffering from parkinsons from past 15 years and she is 71 years old. Right now she his taking syndopa plus 4 times a day and syndopa CR twice a day for body movement. Apart from this she takes Ropark 0.5 mg & Adcapone. Is there any other treatment to a better cure or any other tablet

Hello,

They may show slowly resistance to the dose of Syndopa.

Treatment may vary depending upon the presentation.

If she is having more on and off phenomenon then need to add long-acting drug.

If she is suffering from rigidity then need to add Trihexyphenidyl.

If she is having rapid lysis of carbidopa need to add COMT inhibitors.

Treatment varies depending upon on the person condition.

Parkinson plus syndrome may not respond to the drugs.

So please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
