I have panic attacks everyday they come on for no reason. I have tried Zoloft and a few others but I can take because of the side affects. Ive also tried listening to audios but they don t seem to work either. I just don t know what to do. Its affecting my job, I have them so bad that sometimes driving is out of the question.

Hi.

I understand your concern.

Zoloft is used to treat anxiety disorder like panic attacks. But it has side effects. Side effects can be avoided by start medicine in low dose and gradually increase dose as per response.

Other medicines are escitalopram / peroxetine. Anxiolytic and benzodiazapine like clonazepam and etizolam can be useful.

Behaviour therapy like CBT means cognitive behaviour therapy is become choice for panic disorder in new era of treatment.

Exercise and meditation /relaxation methods /deep breathing /yoga can help.

Ensure proper sleep and diet.

Stress free activity and work.

Psychological councelling and support are necessary.

I hope I have answered your question.

Thank you.
