Suggest Treatment For Painful Tongue

i broke a back tooth a week ago and had sharp edges hitting my tongue for 24 hrs. although the tooth has a temporary filling, the tongue is still extremely painful and it is painful to eat, chew and swallow. Is this normal after a week. Who should I see.

I can understand your concern
if such a case comes to me in my clinic I would advised him to apply some ice packs over injured area
tab acetaminophen for pain relief
local anaesthetic ointment like choline salicylates to be applied locally
