Suggest Treatment For Painful Recurring Bumps On Soft Palate

My husband has painful recurring bumps on soft palate. ENT did biopsy but results were inconclusive. After the biopsy, which basically removed the whole bump, that bump grew back along with another one adjacent to the first bump. The bumps are triggered by eating, but not triggered by any one food in particular. When the bumps pop up, he gets sinus drainage and says the bumps are very painful.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

The recurring bumps as you mention in query can occur due to two reasons .

Firstly it can occur due to cyst on the soft palate as it is related to eating,it might be related to salivary gland . As during eating the secretion of saliva increases.

Secondly it can be due to vitamin B complex deficiency or allergy to tooth paste .

I would suggest you to consult oral pathologist once for proper diagnosis .

Doctor may order swab culture test , endoscopy , blood test and allergy test to rule out condition like acid reflux , granular pharyngitis and post nasal drip .

Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , antacids or H2 blockers .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
