General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to shingles. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication to relieve the burning such as Ibuprofen. I also suggest using Acyclovir cream for local application at the rash area. You can take Acyclovir tablets three times a day for a week.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
