Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump On Index Finger
About a week and a half ago I injured my index finger around the knuckle joint trying to change a tire. I am not sure what I did but the next day it was bruised from the knuckle to knuckle joint. The swelling and bruise went away except for a small bump near the knuckle now that is very painful. Any ideas what this may be?

I think the painful lump is possible scar tissue from the injury you experienced. However, you should check it out with your caring doctor to exclude secondary infection. For the moment, I can only suggest to take ibuprofen or paracetamol and apply alternating cold and warm compresses locally.
