Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump In The Buttocks

I have had a lump in my left butt cheek for quite some time now, Well over a year. Its about the size of a large cherry pit, hard to the touch, painful to sit certain ways, and as of about a week ago it is very itchy. There is no redness or funny colours at all, and I have tried squeezing it, nothing happened but pain. Awhile ago a second one had formed in the right cheek, but dissapeared about 2 weeks later.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the lesion is a cyst which is a sac that may collect fluid. It can become infected in some cases and may also be painful as well because it can be inflamed.

It would be best for the lump to be assessed by your doctor. It is possible that a course of antibiotics may heal it but in some cases, the lesion may need to incised.
In most cases, if incision is needed, this is an in office procedure. If the cyst is very deep then it may not be able to be done in office.

I hope this helps
