Suggest Treatment For Painful Ankle Post Injury

Hi,I was playing Badminton yesterday & landed on my foot really horrible. I landed in a position where my foot bent far too high up towards my knee and now it s in so much pain. The pain is located right at the top bend of my foot/ankle. Feels like my tendon/ligament is the source of the pain. Any ideas? Thanks.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi,

thanks for your query.

from description it seems to be soft tissue or ligament injury. You need an xray to rule out any bony injury. I suggest you to get it evaluated by an orthopaedician. Beside icing and elevating it , you can take ibuprofen for pain and inflammation. Avoid putting weight and rest well.
