Suggest Treatment For Pain Radiating From Neck To Temple And Growth On Neck

Hi, I m 20 and have been getting constant headaches starting from my temple down to my neck. The pain is only on the right side and has left my neck soar. I have had them everyday for the past month. For the last week I have been throwing up and for the past six months I have had a small growth on the back center of my neck. It s hard and doesn t hurt to touch it but could that be causing the headaches?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM,

Understanding your concern.As per your query you have pain radiating from neck to temple and growth on neck. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the pain is either due to condition called bruxism or grinding of teeth at night , cervical spondylosis . I would suggest you to consult dentist for proper examination . Doctor will take history and check teeth for attrition to rule out other causes like sinusitis , and cluster headache . Doctor may give you night guard , prescribe muscle relaxant and recommend relaxing technique . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist if he/she find this problem to be related with head . For now take proper rest , start physical therapy of facial muscle and stretching exercises of jaw muscles . Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain.
