Suggest Treatment For Pain In Wrist Radiating To Arm Post Injury
I injured my wrist putting a bed sheet on my daughters bed. I was reaching to pull sheet over corner of mattress and my wrist was under the mattress and it bend down. The pain is from the ball bone on my wrist shooting up half way the lower portion of my arm. I can move my fingers but cannot move my wrist. The pain area is about 6 inches long. Help?
It is likely the pain is due to injury of the soft tissues of the hand and wrist.
The use of anti inflammatory pain killers such as ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen or cataflam would be helpful. One of these should be available over the counter at your local pharmacy.
Other aspects of treatment would include rest, ice therapy, compression with a bandage if there is any swelling.
I hope this helps
