i am having pain in my bilat upper arms when pressure put on them, for instance I sleep with my arm above my head (when I am on my stomach) after an hour or so pain deep in my upper arm aprox 3 inches below my joint wakes me up no matter what side I sleep on. any clues?

Based on the history you have shared, it seems to be neuromuscular and may be due to rotator cuff issues or nerve impingement. X-ray neck may be needed to read or out such compression. OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with muscle relaxants like tizanidine may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
