Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Testicle

Hi i was wondering about a sudden pain i got in my testicle. I went to check it out in the bathroom and i noticed that it did not hurt to touch the testicle but it hurt to touch the organs inside the scrotum. It also looks swollen and the organs sort of pop out of the scrotum. I have pain. It spreads from my testicle to my lower abdomin and lower back

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, since it's very typical of testicular torsion which is a surgical emergency so a medical facility ER review must be sought as soon as possible and get ultrasound testes too.

Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful along with antispasmodic like drotavarine for symptomatic relief.

Any other pathology like orchitis etc should be ruled out after surgical or urologist review. Use support to testes with a relax underwear or any other support avoiding the strain caused due to gravitational force.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
