Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain clogging of ears after having ear infection seems to be most probably due to fluid accumulation behind the eardrum and blocked eustachian tube..
It can also occur after a bout of cold as the ear and throat are connected via Eustachian tube ..

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray, MRI, otoscopy etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics, oral as well as nasal decongestants likeXylometazoline nasal sprays.
Along with it steam inhalation and chewing chewing gum can help..
In case of no improvement in 15 days surgical drainage by making a small incision through the eardrum can help..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
