Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Pain while suffering from herniated disc is normal.Treatment options for this condition may include: different lines of pain drugs depending on pain intensity, myorelaxants, steroid shots ocassonally, physiotherapy, surgery.I will suggest you try the following:
-Take a pain drug like aceclofenac
-A myorelaxant like miorel
-Hire a Physiotherapist for massage
The management of shoulder pain may be the same as for herniated disc pain if not of inflammatory origin.I will suggest you just observe on this treatment and see the Doctor if pain persist.
If pains persist, you see a Rheumatologist for other treatment options.
Hope this will help
Wish you good health
