Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Calf Muscles

For several years I have had pain in my upper left outer calf, below the knee. It started after a fall. It does not feel like a meniscus tear. I am told there is a shot of cushioning material that I can get with an osteopath. What is this, and could the pain be from something else?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Primary goal should be directed to diagnose the issue as magnesium, vitamin B12 deficiency or else.

Work up with lab work, MRI of the region will guide further management guidelines.

Would like to do follow up with relevant investigative work up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
