General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thank you and pleased to answer you
When there is a herniation of the intervertebral disc, the latter compresses the nerve in its lodge. A compressive truncal (nerve), canalic (nerve box) involvement is sensitivomotrice. The symptomatology may be purely sensitive or predominantly sensitive (paresthesia or sensation in the skin) only.
So your sensations are due to the compression of the nerve that was increased during your bath.
You need to do an MRI urgently, because it may get worse.
I advise you to consult a Neurosurgeon.
best wishes.
