Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have a lower Herniated disc and bulge and currently undergoing physio along with taking narproxen - I have just had a warm bath and now have the feeling of a pulse in my lower back/ top of buttock, it s not painful, just wondering what it is as it feels really weird!
Hi, thank you and pleased to answer you When there is a herniation of the intervertebral disc, the latter compresses the nerve in its lodge. A compressive truncal (nerve), canalic (nerve box) involvement is sensitivomotrice. The symptomatology may be purely sensitive or predominantly sensitive (paresthesia or sensation in the skin) only. So your sensations are due to the compression of the nerve that was increased during your bath. You need to do an MRI urgently, because it may get worse. I advise you to consult a Neurosurgeon. best wishes.
