Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Arm And Back When Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia

I have pain in tendons and or nerves at the base of my neck on the front left side, near collar bone. When applying pressure on tendon I can feel pain linkage in my upper arm (outer part) and bicep and my upper back on shoulder blade. The back and arm pain are linked. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia several years ago. Should I feel indirect pain in my arm and back when applying pressure to neck tendon Tony

Hi,

I am sorry to know about your pain. Your pain is in your muscle mostly in the Trapezius in your upper back. As we know there is no definitive cure of such pains but you can always get relief with some stretching exercises.

There can be many actual trigger tender points in Fibromyalgia pain which might aggravate during periods of stress. You have to figure out some relaxation techniques as well. You can try taking some Naproxen over the counter for some relief.

Although, if it keeps recurring, you would want to visit your primary care physician who can prescribe you some antidepressants which can give me you some relief.

Hope I have answered your queries, please get back to me if you have more questions, I would be happy to help you. Get well soon!

Regards,
