Suggest Treatment For Pain In Penis During Intercourse

Sensitive penis under head down back of shaft. Painful slightly during sex especially when manually handled. Sometimes it feels as though skin has shrunk. Sometimes redness appears in that area as well as around penis head. Will Elidel help? Do you diagnosis?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Possible issue sounds to be in relation with balanitis (inflammation of foreskin portion). My guidelines at present:
- Local cleansing with antiseptic liquid or soap
- Avoidance of intercourse and masturbation till recovery
- Plenty of liquids to prevent secondary bacterial infection
- Prescription of Penicillin if no history of drug sensitivity
- Local application of steroid cream
- Use of anti-fungal medications such as Fluconazole or Itraconazole on prophylactic basis
- Control of blood sugar

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
