Suggest Treatment For Pain In Lower Right Abdomen

I have pain in my lower right abdomen that is radiating toward my belly button it is a sharp stabbing pain that has been there about 8 hours. I also have blood when I use the bathroom on the toilet tissue. Is this something I should go to E R over or can this wait until next week when I go to the doctor. Pain is moderate nothing I cannot handle and is made worse by standing straight up

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Also thanks for the very specific history.
The most probable reasons for such a pain that sharp and stabbing in the right lower abdomen and radiating towards belly button with blood on toilet paper is suggestive of :
-Stone in the right ureter or
-Appendicitis.

This can be easily diagnosed on clinical examination by a Surgeon and a simple ultrasonography.

Get this done along with routine blood, urine ans stool tests and the diagnosis will lead to a proper treatment .
