Suggest Treatment For Pain In Chest Muscle While Stretching
I think I strained a chest muscle but naturally concerned. 44 yrs old, father has history of heart issue. I m in good shape but I felt a pinch or strain when I was leaning awkwardly to lift the hood of my car. Its been sore for 2 days and only really hurts when I move my neck down. I m certain its a deep muscle issue but what do you think. Give it another 2 days?

HI
Thanks for posting your query.
Yes it seems like a muscle strain. I would advice you to avoid any exertional activities for 3-4 days .
Also if you could get a prescription of muscle relaxants like Zerodol-MR, kindly get it and use it . That will give you good relief .
So you can wait for 2-3 days more and if the discomfort persists consult your doctor.
Hope this information was useful to you. Any clarifications feel free to ask.
Regards.
