Suggest Treatment For Pain Around The Navel Area

My son has pain around the navel area. It is localised to an area 2inches on all below the navel towards pubic section. The discomfort intensifies whenever he takes a deep and long breathe. The discomfort started immdeiately after eating oatmeal. Its been on for 12minutes now.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different possible causes, it can be difficult to diagnose abdominal pain without a physical examination.

Pain in the umbilical region is commonly related to bowel movements. Oatmeal is a fiber and can stimulate a bowel movement for some persons.

Another possible cause would be muscular since this would be affected by breathing movements.
The relation to his meal would then be coincidental.

If it continues then he may need to be assessed.

I hope this helps
