Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In The Foot And Ankle

I worked outside all afternoon. I took my muck boots off and felt a slight bit of discomfort. This continued to over the last couple of hours. The pain increased and now I can t put any weight on my foot at all. It is my right foot and I have pain in my ankle down my foot. It is like a 7 on the pain scale. It hurts to bring my foot up, down and side to side. There doesn t seem to be any swelling. The only difference between my two feet is that my sore one is red. Darker than the other. The pain is real and I am so puzzled.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pain you feel in your foot and ankle is due to boots you wore while working out.
Should keep your feet at rest. Keep your feet raised when laying down.
Apply cold compresses on your feet and ankle.
Take paracetamol for the pain.

If still no improvement within a couple of days, should consult with your physician.

Wish fast recovery.
