Suggest Treatment For Pain And Pressure Sensation In The Lower Abdominal Area
I had a baby 4 months ago and still have not had a period. For the last couple of weeks i have had an increase in vaginal discharge but no odor or itching. today I had a pain and pressure in my lower abdomen and not have a neon yellow mucus discharge. What could be causing this?
It can take a few weeks to months for the period to restart after delivery.
It would depend on different factors such as: (1) whether you are breast feeding- this delays the periods (2) your sleep habits and diet- the first few months can be stressful and affect these areas which would then affect hormone levels and therefore the period cycle
The yellow discharge and discomfort may indicate that an infection may be present that needs treatment. Yeast infections are the most common reason for yellow discharge, this can be treated with oral or topical medications.
It would be best to see your doctor for assessment so that he or she can assess and treat appropriately.
I hope this helps
