General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

A rib fracture is a very painful condition and it will take two to three weeks for complete recovery.

As of now strong analgesics, lime tramadol or aceclofenac can be taken after consulting your physician.

If pain is severe and does not respond to pills, you can opt for the intercostal block to get adequate pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
